To comply with current Health and Safety legislation, staff engaged in manual handling must be given training in safe manual handling techniques. This training will show your staff how to carry out manual handling tasks correctly and therefore avoid back injuries. By training your staff how to conduct manual handling safely you are complying with your legal requirements. Back injuries caused by incorrect manual handling techniques are one of the most frequent causes of workers compensation claims. This is not an instructors’ course. July 25, 2024(1 event) CSCS Location of Underground services LUGS8:30 am - 4:30 pm Location of Underground Services (LUGS) This two day location of underground services (LUGS) course is designed to train course participants to be competent to plan, organise, manage and undertake work where there is a risk of contact with underground energy sources or other services using cable avoidance tools and signal generators (CAT & GENNY).The course is as per HSA ‘Code of Practice For Avoiding DangerFrom Underground Services’, Gas Networks Ireland ‘Safety advice for working in the vicinity of natural gas pipelines’, HSG 47 ‘Avoiding danger from underground services’ HSE. Location - Noel Kelly training centre - Harbourville house Marsh Road Drogheda Co Meath A92 Y207 Introduction to location & detection equipment – functional checks. Duration: 2 Day Training Times: 8.30 am – 4.30 pm LUGS | CAT & Genny Assessment: Theory and Practical Examination. Certification: On successful completion of this CAT & Genny course, candidates will be awarded a QQI Certificate L5 and a CSCS Card. Location of Underground Services (LUGS) Course requirements: A canditate pack to demonstrate roadworker expierence will be sent to the applicant for completion and endorsement by an employer or previous employer and returned to Noel Kelly 3 days in advance of the course. Also One Passport Photograph, Safe pass course completed (Safe pass card and photographic Identy - passport, driving licence or public service card required., PPS Number, PPE (personal protective equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Vis Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves |
